Question Why the South of Bath ?
Answer The majority of Bath is surrounded by green belt including the south of Bath, it just happens that the rest of the area around Bath is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty AONB.
Question Why is this area not AONB ?
It is just as beautiful as other areas, an in places more so, it appear it was just never designated.
